Marshall B. Rosenberg, PhD and John Kinyon, M.S. will be leading a Nonviolent Communication
(NVC) Training Retreat the weekend of Feb. 2–4, 2007. Marshall Rosenberg is the founder and an international teacher
of Nonviolent Communication. NVC is sometimes referred to as compassionate communication. Its purpose is to strengthen our
ability to inspire compassion from others and to respond compassionately to others and to ourselves. NVC guides us to reframe
how we express ourselves and hear others by focusing our consciousness on what we are observing, feeling, needing, and requesting.
You are invited to join us to learn and/or to deepen your experience of Nonviolent Communication. This three-day weekend retreat has daytime and evening components. Registration for the Complete Weekend Retreat
includes the special evening offerings. You are invited to attend the whole retreat or come for one or more of the daytime
sessions. - Complete Weekend Retreat - $520
(Accommodations at the Crowne Plaza are
additional and are a part of the retreat commitment. Special hotel rates available by contacting the Crown Plaza Hotel at

- Daytime Sessions Only - $160 per day (includes lunch)
- Children's Program - Daytime only $35 per day, Day and Evening $45 per day. Advance registration is also requested for the

The evening sessions are designed as small group experiential learning opportunities. The Friday
and Saturday sessions will be lead by John Kinyon, M.S., a Certified CNVC (Center for Nonviolent Communication) Trainer. - Thursday (Feb. 1) - A Welcome Gathering followed by optional

Children's Program
A Children's Nonviolent Communication Program will be concurrently offered at the retreat.
Nonviolent Communication will be taught and experienced by the children in their time together. As with the adult retreat
participants, children may participate in the Children’s NVC Program for the complete weekend or for any one or more
